Call me crazy but this drab SoCal weather with cloudy morning skies makes me want to indulge in comfort food for breakfast. I would typically reach for a bowl of fruit this time of year but I’ve lately been obsessed with my low-carb almond pancakes.

Made with high protein almond flour instead of the regular stuff, I make it with low calorie sweetener and top it off with sugar-free maple syrup. The end result couldn’t be sweeter…and I still fit into my swimsuit once the sun does finally come out by the afternoon. Here's the recipe... read more

I love my husband dearly but he refuses to let me give him advice on what suits to wear to a wedding or when to finally throw out his torn up pair of jeans he’s worn for four years straight.

On a Saturday afternoon, nothing makes me happier than spending a couple of hours at a drug store, beauty supply or the like. When I’m at the mall, I can’t resist stopping into Bath & Body Works to see what’s new.

My last visit had me leaving with an assortment from the yummy Anti-Bacterial Kitchen Collection, which I didn’t realize I needed until I smelled the Pure Vanilla gel sanitizer. Narrowing down which scents I liked best was tough so along with vanilla I chose the Crisp Cucumber deep-cleansing hand soap and the Sweet Pea foaming hand soap.

After every use, they not only leave your hands smelling irresistible, but now the kitchen smells of a hint of vanilla as you walk by.
